The latest trailer for Destiny 2: The Final Shape brings fans inside the Traveller itself

The Pale Heart looks like it’ll be an important new destination for fans, in this June’s Destiny 2 expansion, The Final Shape.

Finality

As expansions for Destiny 2 go, The Final Shape looks to be a biggie. The new story arc will bring players of Bungie’s multiplayer title into a new land, called The Pale Heart. A place of both brilliant light and “distressing” darkness, The Pale Heart is set to be the newest location for the sci-fi epic’s action. And did we mention that it’s actually inside of The Traveller?

An overarching mystery since the first days of the original Destiny, The Traveller has been sieged by The Witness in The Final Shape. Now slowly being corrupted from the inside out, players will have to enter The Traveller, confront The Witness, and turn the tide of the dark.

Good thing Cayde-6 is back.

Bungie launched their latest trailer for Destiny 2: The Final Shape, showcasing the new destination inside of the Traveler named The Pale Heart. This mysterious world starts as a light-filled paradise, but slowly creeps into a distressing land of darkness. Players will embark on a perilous journey to confront the Witness, who has corrupted the Traveler and plans to enact its Final Shape. Narrated by Nathan Fillion as Cayde-6, the late Hunter recounts his experience in this harrowing landscape, beckoning Guardians to gather and take on this blight.

Bungie press release

Billed as “a pinnacle moment in the Light and Darkness saga”, Destiny 2: The Final Shape is coming up on June 4th, 2024. If you’re a Destiny 2 fan too, you might want to consider a pre-order. Doing so with the new expansion pack will net some slick sounding bonuses that include a “Pyramid-themed Exotic ship, an Exotic Ghost, and two pre-order emblems”.
