It’s the Holiday Season in Dying Light 2, and that means the Winter Tales Event is about to start

Dropping gifts from above, Winter Tales is adding a little mirth and merriment to Techland’s post-apocalyptic Dying Light 2.

Ho Ho… oh no

The Holidays don’t quite have the same level of lightheartedness when the worlds gone down in flames. Take Santa as an example, because apparently he won’t even think about landing in Villedor, the last bastion of humanity in Techland’s first-person zombie-survival epic Dying Light 2.

But even though the jolly old elf won’t touch down, it’s not gonna stop him from delivering some presents. Just uh, watch your head, because these gifts are going to be raining down from above, in the game’s Winter Tales Event.

Gifts are going to be just a part of this new update though, as you better believe there’ll be some not-so cheery new infected to deal with. The fun begins on the 19th of this month, and will run through January 5th, 2024, and you can read a full description of what’s on tap here on the official Pilgrim Outpost.

If you’d rather get a quicker rundown, scroll down for that. Just a quick note though, as the video we found for the Winter Tales Event also includes the fall updates for the game, so you might’ve seen it already.

Winter Party

Dying Light 2 Stay Human goes festive for another winter celebration. Starting from Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 7 am PT / 9 am ET / 3 pm GMT, Villedor will sparkle with the Gifts from Above event. Players will be able to stroll through the city adorned with seasonal trimmings, look for Santa Airdrops, and even fight Uncle Snow for presents. There are also goals to be met and rewards to be won – including the Winter Elf gear and outfit and the cute Gingerbread Infected Charm.

The mood will be heightened with a visit to Baka’s Winter Market store by the Bazaar. There, players can spend all the Sweets gathered by killing Naughty Infected. The latter may even be caught wearing very merry seasonal getups – it’s probably due to all that snow falling from the sky. The wintry fun will come to a close on Friday, Jan 5, 2024, at 3 am PT / 5 am ET /11 am GMT.
