Trailer: Warhammer 40K: Boltgun looking great, dated for May

Have you seen the latest trailer for Warhammer 40K: Boltgun? If not, and you love classic FPS’, it’s kind of a must-watch ahead of May’s launch.

No, not blowgun

Focus Entertainment, Auroch Digital and Games Workshop combined their passion to bring this exciting new addition to the Warhammer 40,000 universe to life. Boltgun is a neo-retro, over-the-top shooter driven by unrestrained nostalgia for the fast-paced FPS action of the ‘90s — a stunningly modern boomer-shooter with fluid gameplay and glorious sprite art.

Step into the ceramite-armored boots of a mighty, battle-hardened Space Marine — charge, shoot and chainsword your way through the ruinous forces of Chaos. Unleash your holy arsenal to purge the creatures of darkness in an implacable pixel bloodbath!

Focus Entertainment press release

Tough not to get pumped for that one, especially if you’re old enough to remember playing through the likes of Quake. Well, when it was first released, that is.

If you’re ready for action, Warhammer 40K: Boltgun is ready for preorder for all platforms right now (excepting Switch). You can expect it to arrive for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as the Switch and PC (via Steam) on May 23rd.

About Jason Micciche
