NYCC 22: DST and Gentle Giant plan out a big Con with lots of exclusives

It’s going to be a big NYCC for Diamond Select and Gentle Giant as the twin collectible companies have a solid spread of events and exclusives planned.

Don’t forget a bag

It’s that time folks, as NYCC has once again crept up on New York. The Con is in its second year back, and has what sounds like a pretty normal event happening this week.

If you’re going, then you’ll definitely want to swing past the DST booth (#2945) too, as the company has a full catalog of events. Of course, that includes Gentle Giant as well, with both collectible companies scheduling giveaways, plus a look at what’s to come.

Here’s a look at what you’ll find at the booth:

PANEL

  • For those looking for the inside scoop, the Diamond Select Toys and Gentle Giant LTD panel will take place on Sunday, at 1:45 in room 406.3. DSTChuck and DSTZach will share info about upcoming releases and participate in a Q&A along with artists Jean St. Jean (sculptor), Nelson X. Asencio (designer), Chris Dahlberg (sculptor) and Paul Harding (sculptor). Plus, all attendees will be entered to win prizes!

GIVEAWAYS

  • Everyone who buys a Star Wars product at the booth will receive an exclusive Mandalorian pin while supplies last, and if you’re a member of the Gentle Giant LTD. premier guild, all you have to do is ask for one! Plus, everyone who comes to the DST booth while supplies last will get an All Elite Wrestling promotional Minimate! The first AEW Minimates box set comes out this spring, and this is just a taste of Minimates for all the AEW fans out there.

CONTESTS

  • During the show, there will be two contests going on, where all attendees can enter to win an amazing prize! On Thursday and Friday, it’s a Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters “Nowhere to Hide” Boba Fett Legends in 3D ½ scale bust, signed by writer Charles Soule! Saturday and Sunday it’s an AFA-graded 8.5 Star Wars Grand Admiral Thrawn NYCC-Exclusive Jumbo Figure! One entry per contest per person.

There’s more in (the) store

But wait, there’s more. Actually, a lot more, especially if you’re into what look to be a terrific collection of Minimate collector packs. But even aside from those, DST will have its usual shop set up. So if you’ve been eying a recent release from the company, you just might find it on the racks at the Con.

But again, it’s worth reiterating that the exclusives sound really fantastic. There are more than just Minimates, but it’s those little guys and gals that look to be the stars thus year, with a trio of package deals.
