Marvel and Disney to celebrate 60 years of Spider-Man at D23

The D23 Expo is coming up this weekend, and Disney will be putting on both a panel and a signing for Spidey, along with 2 comic giveaways.

Does whatever

If you didn’t know, it’s Spider-Man’s 60th. The iconic comics superhero is indeed celebrating 6 decades in print, and to make that marker all that much more impactful, Disney and Marvel will be making this upcoming D23 one to remember.

The event, which kicks off this weekend, will host a set of Spider-themed events for attendees. Those will include a pair of special comics that’ll be free (if you can nab one), and both a panel and signing event.

The comic will be Amazing Fantasy #1000 (just go with it), but this isn’t the same issue that hit stands. Instead, this one features one of two new covers from longtime Spider-Man artist Humberto Ramos.

One of them has Mickey Mouse delivering a cake to the web-head for his birthday, and the other has Spider-Man returning the favor. Why? Because next year is the Disney Company’s 100th anniversary. Kind of neat.

As for the panel and the signing, the details for those are below.
