It’s going to be a celebration of all things PAC this Comic Con, as the 2022 event welcomes in Bandai Namco’s PAC-MAN World Re-PAC and more.
Celebrate good times
Yes, he’s back. If you missed the news, PAC-MAN World is back and in Re-PAC-ed form, with a completely remade adventure that’ll be arriving for modern gaming platforms. But before the 3D action/platformer arrives, you’ll be able to play it at SDCC this week. Well, if you have a pass that is.
And while we’re on the subject, you’ll be able to get down on a lot more than just the PAC demo. Bandai Namco is planning a full-on PAC-MAN Celebration for Comic Con, including an exhibit at the Comic Con Museum, as well as goodie bags and more.
While that is “invite only” (more on that in a second), the demos are not. Yes, there’ll be demo stations at the Celebration, but there will also be chances to play the game for all show-goers. If you’re on the show floor, head to the Nanoblock booth (#135) and you’ll find stations available. Just maybe expect there to be lines. According to Bandai Namco, PAC-MAN World is one of the characters most popular games ever, so chances are there’ll be more than a few fans on hand who’d like to have a go.
While you’re there too, you’l be able to grab a snap with PAC-MAN himself, who will be on hand on Friday, July 22. Be there between 1:00 to 3:00pm pacific time to get in on the photographical action.
As for that Museum…
Above, I mentioned a Comic Con Museum appearance, and there will indeed be one. As an invite-only, ticketed event, not that many fans will be able to check it out, but PAC-MAN will be in full Celebration mode inside.
Attendees will be able to play the demo for PAC-MAN World Re-PAC, and also take a pic with the PAC, but there’s much more too. The show will include “complimentary refreshments, giveaways and gift bags”.
Bandai Namco has a link up to RSVP for what will be a free event, though there’s nothing happening with it at the moment. If it does go live for new requests, we’ll let you know. Also be aware that you will need to be 21 or over to attend, and face masks are required as a part of the agreement with the event space.
