Marvel teases the return of one of its most powerful villains for The Defenders relaunch

The comic book version of The Defenders is on the way back to the printed page, and the first arc will include a big-time, iconic bad guy.

While the publisher was tight-lipped in terms of details, Marvel Comics nonetheless did make a pretty big announcement today. Well, maybe two big announcements, since The Defenders is coming back.

One of the publisher’s best known super-teams, The Defenders is spinning out of the recent miniseries, and back into an ongoing. They’re gonna need some firepower on this new team too, since they’re up against a ridiculously powerful foe.

That, of course and as you can see, will be the Beyonder. Yes, the classic cosmic-level baddie who was behind the original Secret Wars miniseries is back, and undoubtably ready to cause a little mayhem. Or a lot. Probably a lot.
