Trailer: Sphere – Flying Cities jets onto Steam next month

Forget the typical city-builder. Sphere – Flying Cities tasks players with building a futuristic, floating city to save the last remnants of humanity.

Sci-fi construction

In the not-so-distant future, Earth’s moon has been struck by a massive asteroid. With the fallout rendering the terrestrial surface uninhabitable, the ecosystem of the planet collapses. Facing complete annihilation, humanity makes one final and desperate attempt to survive — thanks to newly-created anti-gravity technology, the first (and possibly last) faction of flying cities ascends as the ultimate bastion of the human race.

Assemble Entertainment

Sphere – Flying Cities emerges from Steam’s Early Access program on October 14th. There is a special edition of the game as well, dubbed the Save the World Edition. That version is in partnership with Atmosfair, a charity that “focuses on clean energy climate protection projects”.

Picking up that edition will get you some perks too, like “a mini-artbook and bonus in-game cosmetics”.
