Captain America’s 80th anniversary gets variant cover slate from Marvel

It’s the 80th anniversary of the Sentinel of Liberty, and you best believe that that means a celebration from Marvel. Captain America variant covers are inbound.

Team America

Making landfall in March of 1941, Captain America remains one of the most influential superheroes in the Marvel Universe. While he hasn’t always been as big of a star as he is today, Cap has exploded in popularity. That’s of course due in part to his portrayal by Chris Evans in the MCU, but the point remains; Captain America is a comic book icon.

And with his 80th anniversary this year (actually, it’s come and gone), Marvel has a spread of variant covers planned. A fitting set of reveals for the Fourth of July weekend, the newly revealed cover art will adorn a slate of upcoming Marvel books. Each one will feature each title’s hero, but clad in the Stars and Stripes.

The books will include 8 titles, from Miles Morales to Fantastic Four, and will run pretty much through this very month. Scroll down to check out the full rundown of what’s coming up, and when.
