Dark Horse Comics will be publishing more than just an art book for the next Assassin’s Creed game, as the publisher has announced a prequel comic.
See you in Valhalla
We’ve already seen The Art of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (and its Deluxe Edition) announced, but Dark Horse isn’t quite done with Ubisoft’s newest AC game just yet. The publisher has announce that it’ll also be producing a comic book dedicated to the game’s world.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: A Song of Glory will take place before the events of the game. Written by Cavan Scott and with art from Martin Tunica, the book will run a total of 3 issues, and take place on the frozen shores of 9th century Norway.
Eivor, a Viking warrior, observes a village raided by a neighboring kingdom. Bloodshed and mayhem erupt as she seizes the attack in her own favor—but will her victory be a blessing to her clan or a terrible curse? Elsewhere, another Viking searches for a different kind of prize, one of crucible steel . . .

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to hit consoles and the PC this December, but you’ll be able to read this prequel well before that. Dark Horse has announced that the first issue of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: A Song of Glory will be on the racks come October 21st.
