Wave 1 of DST’s Lord of the Rings figures up for pre-order

Shipping to stores this fall, Diamond Select’s take on Lord of the Rings heroes Legolas and Gimli have hit the pre-order stage.

That still only counts as one

We first introduced you to DST’s Lord of the Rings ‘Select’ figures back at Toy Fair, and if you saw our coverage then you already know how cool these are.

The figures stand in at the 7″ scale, and include 16 points of articulation, along with some excellent detailing. Plus, if you get all of the initial series (minus the goblin), you can build a massive 13″ Sauron.

With all of that, Diamond Select’s upcoming line based on the now-iconic movie versions of the Lord of the Rings characters is easily the best merchandise to spin out of the film in years. And now the first wave of figures is ready for pre-order.
