Add a little Holiday to your Hellboy board game with limited edition piece

All decked out for Christmas is Hellboy in this new limited miniature from Mantic. And yes, it’s compatible with the recently Kickstarted board game.

Holiday hell

If you missed it, there’s a Hellboy board game coming up from a company called Mantic Games. Stocked with creator Mike Mignola’s Hellboy license, the publisher headed to Kickstarter to get things moving earlier this year. Now fully funded, the tabletop title is moving forward and even has it’s first expansion.

“Following the huge success of the Hellboy: The Board Game Kickstarter earlier this year, we really wanted to celebrate with something cool and unique,” said Ronnie Renton, Mantic Games, CEO. “When we came across this piece of amazing artwork, we just knew we had to get it sculpted and made. Making it available in superb quality resin will capture the wonderful quality of Mike Mignola’s artwork perfectly.”

Holiday Hellboy indeed does have a sculpt that’s been taken from Mignola’s art, and stands in at 7cm tall. The mini is supplied unpainted and does need to be assembled, but none of that is unusual for the hobby. What’s cool is that it’s fully compatible with that board game as well, and actually even comes complete with a BPRD card.

So you can actually play as Big Red in a big red suit. Well, you can when the game’s finally released anyway. Though that’s likely still a ways off. Hellboy is dated only with a “2019” mark, so doesn’t it have a window of launch at this point.
