Microsoft Cancels Development of Scalebound

Later today Microsoft rumored that Scalebound might be canceled and as we soon found out it was.

The Decision to End Production

At 3:36 pm Microsoft gave a statement to the press:

“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including “Halo Wars 2,” “Crackdown 3,” “State of Decay 2,” “Sea of Thieves” and other great experiences.”

Scalebound was a wildly anticipated game from the start when It was first announced back in E3 of 2014. The game has had some hiccups here and there but nothing too drastic.

We have heard a word from the company for a while now and the fans, of what was the game, wanted to hear more about the game tat larger than life. For anyone who doesn’t know about the game, the basic primus is you are a Drew and you have a Dragon, Thuban. You and your Dragon are “bound” to each other in this third-person action RPG.

We here at Brutal Gamer wish PlatinumGames the best in this hard decision and hope we might see Scalebound again someday.
