Nintendo Download 3/31

A Pokken Tournament demo comes to Wii U, as does Wii Baseball title, Mario Super Sluggers.

If you haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, then now’s a good time to throw down with Pokken Tournament- via the newly released demo.  We enjoyed the game quite a bit, but there’s nobody you can trust more than yourself!

Mario’s second step onto the baseball diamond is also available this week on Wii U- Mario Super Sluggers (the sequel to Mario Superstar Baseball) allows for up to four players to play ball across nine different stadiums.  Be prepared to steal bases in ice-filled castles and catch fly-balls in urban cityscapes.

Nindies@Home title Lovely Planet is available for 15% off if you downloaded the demo, and is a strange FPS wherein you’ve got an infinite supply of bullets and restart levels when hit by a single shot.

CIRCLE Entertainment games are also on sale until April 14th.  Some of them are quite enjoyable, such as recent The Legend of Dark Witch 2, so give them a shot if you’re curious.

Also new this week:

In addition to video games available at retail stores, Nintendo also offers a variety of content that people can download directly to their systems. Nintendo adds new games weekly to the Nintendo eShop on the Wii U console and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, the Nintendo DSi Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and the Wii Shop Channel for the Wii console.

The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service that features a wide variety of content, including new and classic games, applications and demos. Users can add money to their account balances by using a credit card or purchasing a Nintendo eShop Card at a retail store and entering the code from the card. All funds from one card must be loaded in the Nintendo eShop on either Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but can be used in either Nintendo eShop if the systems are linked to a single Nintendo Network account.

The Wii Shop Channel offers games and applications and uses Wii Points, which can be purchased via the Wii Shop Channel. The Nintendo DSi Shop offers games and applications and uses Nintendo DSi Points, which can be purchased in the Nintendo DSi Shop.

Remember that Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo DSi feature parental controls that let adults manage some of the content their children can access.
