The latest Bond movie, Specter, finally has a teaser trailer. It’s dark, foreboding, and extremely cool.
In SPECTRE, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE. Sam Mendes returns to direct SPECTRE, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as 007 for the fourth time. SPECTRE is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, from a script by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade.
Yeah, there’s not a lot of action in that little trailer, it is just a tease after all, but the feel that director Sam Mendes is going for in Spectre is undeniably cool. Right off the bat, the next film starring Daniel Craig’s Bond (the fourth time he’s appeared as the title spy by the way) ties things right onto the last movie in the series, Skyfall. From there, there’s a ton and a half of allusion to what’s coming and what exactly Spectre is, as well as what it will be, as the secretive organization and Bond set themselves against each other.
Lots to like here, especially for Bond fans, or anyone really who digs a good cloak and dagger story. Spectre lands in theaters this November the 6th.
