NYCC 2014: Mezco’s Dark Knight nearly sells out, more news on the way for the line

The first 72 hours of pre-order availability have been very, very good for the brand new One:12 Collective The Dark Knight Rises figure.

“The One:12 Collective The Dark Night Returns Batman ships on January 12th, but we’re already nearly halfway sold out” exclaimed Mezco’s Mike Drake, “as great as the pictures look, fans who have seen the figure in person are even more blown away. This is the kind of figure fans have asked for, and now that we are making him available they are voting with their wallets”.

Having seen this guy in person, I can absolutely attest to the fact that this is an exceptional action figure. Not only is it a great scale at 1:12th, but the cloth uniform is excellently made and the figure itself is an absolute wonder of possibility with 30 points of articulation. This is a premium figure at a not-so premium price, given everything that you get in the box.

The Dark Knight is already 40% sold out at the pre-order level (direct from toy maker Mezco) and looks to be a very big hit indeed. The company will be following up on this inaugural figure with more news on the line at NYCC this week too, so stay tuned for that. This isn’t just a one-off folks, there’s a whole line of these bad boys on the way. Personally, I can’t wait.
