Raiden is official for Mortal Kombat X

Lets be honest, you knew he was going to be in there somewhere.

Looking in fine (and familiar) form is Mortal Kombat’s Thunder God. Basically having the same overall look as longtime MK players are used to seeing, Raiden is nonetheless a little darker and a little grittier in this more gruesome Mortal Kombat… and that’s really saying something now that I think about it.

Still, even with all the new designs and new characters (you saw some of them already right?) it’s nice to see that there are more returning favorites than just Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Makes you wonder who else will be back for another round of Kombat, doesn’t it? *crosses fingers for Jonny Cage*

MKX is due from developer NetherRealm some time in 2015 for as yet unannounced platforms, though you could probably guess where it’ll be appearing.
