New Mario Kart 8 trailers show more of Cheep Cheep Beach

A pair of new trailers for what is perhaps Nintendo’s biggest title of the first half of 2014 have arrived and karting in the Mushroom Kingdom has never looked better. Or sandier.

Not a ton to add to these. Both videos show more of Cheep Cheep Beach, the it place to grab a tan in the Mushroom Kingdom. You’ll see races from both single player and multiplayer (local) perspective as well as a bunch of the hazards and routes that the course offers.

What can I say, this is classic Mario Kart with some truly phenomenal graphics. I haven’t played Mario Kart 8 (yet), but I doubt it’d be too much of a stretch to say that it’s the don’t miss title on the Wii U’s roster so far this year. Expect it on May 30th.

About Jason

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.

Whoa ho ho, more videos? Nintendo is really pulling the lead out here.

  2. Yeah really, at least they’re promoting it instead of letting it slide under the radar. Though I have to say, Nintendo’s been doing a pretty sharp job of advertising their games since the Holidays last year.

Yeah, I think they finally realized just how important advertisement really is, especially in this day and age. It’s one area where they’ve taken major steps to improve as of late. I think it’s working, as the Wii U seems to be selling at a steady pace now.
