Toy Maker and the Void Sword star in new Lords of Shadows 2 gameplay trailers

If you played Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, both the Toy Maker and the title Mirror should be instantly recognizable to you. The diminutive Toy Maker was one of Drac’s main men in that game, plaguing the Belmont’s as they made their was through the castle, while the Mirror of Fate was one of the most integral components of the whole game and played a huge part in the adventure. To see both elements come back in Lords of Shadow 2 just further ties the while LoS Castlevania universe together and makes what MercurySteam has done with the franchise all that much cooler.

Konami has also revealed a new trailer about the Void Sword, one of Dracula’s key weapons in LoS2.

The sword actually restores Dracula’s health as you fight by stealing it away from enemies. Just for that, it’s sure to be a go-to weapon for gamers forging their way through the dark world of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 when it arrives later this month for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Mirror of Fate, by the way, is also available for consoles by way of the newly released Lords of Shadow Collection, which binds it and the complete version of the original game together for one big box of vampiric fun.
