Survive the desolate, post-apocalyptic Wasteland in Sheltered

No, this isn’t Mad Max, but developer Unicube’s Sheltered just might fit the bill nicely for those looking to scratch that post-end of everything itch.

Tell me that doesn’t look pretty awesome? It’s almost like Sheltered has a kind of This War of Mine cross Mad Max vibe happening with it, and that’s something that I have to take note of. Surviving in a post-apocalytic setting is kind of the word of the day after all, with the new Max flick in theaters and all.

Sheltered has kind of the same themes as Max, but a completely different focus, as the game is all about protecting your family, and making sure that lives aren’t lost in a scenario lends itself pretty easily to just that. Also interesting to note, is that this is an equal-opportunity apocalypse that developer Unicube is crafting.

Your family can be any makeup that you like, with various racial backgrounds and two dads or two moms available to choose from, which is pretty cool. You can also give your group a pet to take care of, which might set up for some possible tragedy down the road. Unicube adds that “It’s not about who you are – it’s about how you work together to survive.” Truer words…

Look for Sheltered on the PC (Windows and Linux), Mac, and PS4, along with iOS and Android platforms some time soon.
