Marvel Comics’ future time goes cosmic in Annihilation 2099

The future of the Marvel Universe is back in 2024, and ready to blast into the beyond with this summer’s Annihilation 2099.

It’s only 75 years away

If you’ve been following Marvel’s reinvigoration of the “2099” line, then you know it’s been somewhat slow going. There’ve been a few Spider-Man 2099 miniseries in the new push so far, with each one introducing more and more characters and elements, some of which should be familiar to fans. What’s coming up this summer though, definitely won’t be.

Officially titled Annihilation 2099, the mini-series that’s set to debut in July will include Marvel’s cosmic arena, which has not really been seen in any previous 2099 tale. And with intros for 2099 versions of Nova, Star Lord, Quasar, Red Hulk, Terrax, Ego, Mephisto, Silver Surfer, and freaking Dracula, it might be the biggest 2099 mini yet.

The series will be penned by Steve Orlando, who’ll be joined by a lengthy list of artists. Fans can look for the talents of ith a lineup of incredible artists including Nick Bradshaw, Ibraim Roberson, José Luis, Pete Woods, Ario Anindito, and Dale Eaglesham to all be involved.

Scroll down to check out how Annihilation 2099 will break down when the saga begins with issue #1 on July 3rd. The full five issue series will wrap that same month, concluding with Annihilation #5 on July 31st.
