Mixed emotions from me on this latest removal of Cap from the forefront of the Marvel Comics Universe. I’m a fan of the Falcon character (even more so after Captain America: The Winter Soldier), but Cap is… Cap. Seeing someone else in the role didn’t do it for me the last time the publisher offed him in Civil War and it’s still not doing it for me now.

While I’m definitely interested in seeing what Sam looks like in action as the Sentinel of Liberty, I also kind of hope his reign is short-lived.  We’ll see I guess; Sam Wilson begins the transition in Captain America #25 (where I hope he gives that crumb Arnim Zola a fat-lip, uh, TV screen) this October 1st from Marvel and the team of Rick Remender, Carlos Pacheco, and Stuart Immonen.
