Hey look, console footage of The Witcher 3 (now with more scaling on Xbox One)

Yet another day and here’s more footage and news about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

“The video you’re now watching is grabbed directly from an Xbox One console. We’ve been working to give gamers an even better experience on Xbox One and, on day 1, we’ll bring you dynamic scaling from 900p to 1080p. We’re not much more than a week before launch, but we’re still fighting for every line of code — we want gamers to get the best possible experience we can deliver.”

Seriously, it’s pretty much launch time already and CD Projekt Red is still working on this game?! Not that it doesn’t look like it’s all paying off mind you, it’s just that it’s nice to see that’s all.

And speaking of ‘nice to see’, the Xbox One version of the game, which is what you see in that trailer above, will scale video quality dynamically from 900p to 1080p. So while that’s not going to be a constant 1080 like the other versions of the game, chances are you really won’t notice unless you’re a real stickler.

Personally, I know I’m not, though chances are that I’ll be playing this one on the PC. Been following the series on there more than consoles, not that there’s a thing wrong with the PS4 or Xbox One versions, I’m not taking potshots. And while we’re talking equality, all three versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be on the store shelves and available on digital download services starting on May 19th.
