Battlefield 4 Beta blasting consoles and PC soon

Take the fight to the streets of Shanghai in the beta for EA and DICE’s impressive current/next-gen military shooter.

Kicking off very soon, the beta for Battlefield 4 will allow players to experience the Siege of Shanghai map that’s been used in pretty much every promo and demo of the game seen so far. The map got folks chatting almost immediately for the sheer size and scope of it and players will be able to get their hands dirty right in the thick of it with either Conquest Mode or Domination Mode.

How do you get into the beta? Well actually, there’s a number of ways all leading up to the general open beta that starts on October 4th.

How to Join:

Join the Beta on:

There’s more info about the beta on the beta faq, which you can access here should have further questions about the early play promo. And don’t forget about the ‘buy now, upgrade later‘ offer that EA has on the table. With that, you can buy in to Battlefield 4 on a current generation console and then upgrade to either the PS4 or Xbox One version for only $9.99 USD.

Battlefield 4 hits the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 29th. The PS4 edition arrives on November 12th and the Xbox One version lands in stores on November 19th. In Europe the dates are a tad different with current-gen consoles and the PC getting the game on Halloween (October 31st- which should make for some interesting Halloween parties), the Xbox One locking and loading on November 22 and the PlayStation 4 adding it to it’s roster on November 29.
