Eternal Warrior (comics) Preview

Greg Pak and Trevor Hairsine bring Valiant Comics’ Gilad Anni-Padda back to his own book with Eternal Warrior #1.

Across ten millennia and a thousand battlefields, Gilad Anni-Padda has traversed the darkest, most mysterious corners of history. But the horror and bloodshed of constant warfare has finally taken its toll on the man myth calls the Eternal Warrior…and he has abdicated his duties as the Fist and the Steel of Earth for a quiet life of seclusion. But when a blood vendetta from the distant past suddenly reappears in the modern day, he must decide if he will return to the ways of war…for the child who betrayed him thousands of years ago…

After starting out last Summer with a lean and mean lineup of books, Valiant has really started fleshing out their universe as we enter into the Summer of Valiant part 2. Eternal Warrior is going to seriously up the tough guy ante in the Valiant U too as Gilad, brother of Archer & Armstrong’s Armstrong, is easily the roughest and angriest member of the Anni-Padda trio.

With a creative team like Pak and Hairsine, this is probably going to be a book that you won’t want to miss out on. Catch Eternal Warrior #1 on stands (with covers by Clayton Crain, Trevor Hairsine, Dave Bullock and the great Patrick Zircher) this September the 11th.
