Far Cry 3 Passes 6 Million Sales

The third Far Cry game has reached a milestone.

With recent news of games like Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs not selling what they were expected to know, it’s good to know that Ubisoft’s games are doing better than expected.

Ubisoft have told investors that Far Cry 3 has surpasses 6 million units in sales, which has outperformed Ubisoft’s initial sales expectations for the game.  These sales include both physical and digital sales numbers.  In addition, Chief Executive Yves Gullemot has stated that the recent spin-off, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, has become the “fastest selling downloadable title in Ubisoft history”.

In other good news, Assassin’s Creed 3 has sold 12.5 million copies, and is Ubisoft’s biggest selling game ever.
