Switch 2 game bundles launching this summer

Looking to buy a Switch 2? if so, you might want to take a look at June’s Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle.

Bundle up for summer

It’s not really arguable that Switch 2 sales have been pretty great in its first year. While there are those who somehow dub the console a disappointment (in terms of sales), it’s nonetheless sold just under 20 million units. And that’s not even in a complete first year.

There might be a potential stumbling block on the horizon though. If you missed the news, as Nintendo has announced a price increase for the console this fall. That’ll bring the price from $449.99 USD to $499.99 USD. And so it might be with that in mind that the gaming giant has also just created a new, and limited time, bundle deal. Lo and behold too, the cost of said deal will match that revised base price for the console, debuting in September.

Tagged at $499.99 USD, said bundle will include not just the console, but will also let players choose a game. Naturally, those options won’t include any carts. In this day and age, that’d have been a miracle. So instead, buyers will be able to pick from between a trio of possible digital downloads to go along with their minty hardware.

Those titles are some of the Switch 2’s biggest highlights from its freshman year. Previous ‘pack-in’ Mario Kart World is front and center, but so are Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokémon Pokopia. As mentioned, fans who buy the new SKU will be able to choose from that lot, and download one of them for free.

Want to take the plunge and get in on the deal? Well, as mentioned, your time will be this summer. The Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle will launch into stores in “early June”.

Choose your own adventure

As well as it’s done at retail to date, the Switch 2’s library might be just a tad underwhelming. And we mean in terms of exclusive games. Yes, there are some great-looking titles (including Star Fox) on the horizon, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the rest of the lineup has been a little lackluster. Nevertheless though, there are some gems as well.

The three games you see listed above are pretty much all in within that category, and each is an option as to that ‘free’ downloadable game included in the Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle. If you’re looking to buy, and are somehow unfamiliar with the lot, scroll down and take a look at their official trailers.

  • Pokémon Pokopia is a charming life sim where you play as a Ditto who has transformed to look like a human and is trying to restore a withered world using their transformation skills and new crafting abilities.
