DOOM Anthology slices price on Bethesda Gear Store

Those looking to get the most complete version of the DOOM saga can now buy in for less. DOOM Anthology has a price cut.

DOOM, now for less

We get it, there’s no shortage of ways to play the original DOOM games. For that matter, there’s no shortage of ways to play part three, or the first two titles in the modern version of the series either. The full set of first-person shooters represent some of the best in the genre as far as we’re concerned, and yeah, they’re just about everywhere.

But for collectors, or just those who are looking to get into one of the greatest genre’s best for the first time, there is an option that kind of stands out. That would be DOOM Anthology, as found on the Bethesda Gear Store, powered by DPI Merch. An (almost) all-encompassing set of games, it includes everything from the original titles through Eternal. Yes, even The Ancient Gods DLC.

And for those who might be interested in adding the pack to their collection, the aforementioned is on sale. Permanently. Bethesda has announced today that DOOM Anthology now permanently sports a lower price, clocking in at just $39.99 USD.

The DOOM Anthology contains three decades of pulse-pounding demon slaying that defined the first-person shooter genre. The six titles include DOOM (1993), DOOM II, DOOM 64DOOM 3DOOM (2016), and DOOM Eternal – worth a combined MSRP of $114.95. This includes the Deluxe Edition of DOOM Eternal, which comes with both parts of The Ancient Gods expansion, a Demonic Slayer Skin, and Classic Weapon Sound Pack.

Along with the download codes for all six titles, the DOOM Anthology comes with two exclusive items. Add the 5″ BFG replica statue to desks or bookshelves, presented in style with LED lights and a display stand. Show off the sleek DOOM Anthology SteelBook as part of a collection.

Bethesda press release

So yes, as you can see above, there is a caveat to this collection. And for physical collectors, it’s kind of a big one. Yes, DOOM Anthology is effectively a code-in-box offering. We’re not overly keen on that. Still and keeping that in mind, it also offers those neat collectible items to go along with the games. Kinda cool.

If you’re looking to pick up DOOM Anthology, it’s available now for that lower price, via the Bethesda Gear Shop. The collection is available for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC (via Steam).
