Capcom was busy at Evo 2025 in Las Vegas this past weekend, with a first look at Street Fighter 6‘s C.Viper and more.
She’s venomous
Evolution Championship Series was the place, as Las Vegas’ played host to the annual fight-centric, video game event this past weekend. And as is typical with Evo’s past, there was a decent amount of news to come out of it, spread across several key fighting game series’. All things considered though, it certainly seems like Capcom’s cadre of fighting games were the busiest of the bunch.
Among what was revealed, the publisher debuted a first-look trailer for Crimson Viper. A character who first debuted in Street Fighter IV and is coming back as downloadable content for SF6, C.Viper was a double agent, working for the CIA and S.I.N..
There’s no release date just yet for C.Viper, though we’re guessing she should be coming up some time late fall or winter. Sagat, the first character in Year 3, launches tomorrow (August 5th) after all, and Street Fighter III’s Alex follows in the early spring of ’26. So it’d only make sense for Viper to land when the cooler weather rolls in.
As for how you can add all of these guys and gals to your game, that’d be by way of the Year 3 Ultimate Pass or Year 3 Character Pass. Both methods will unlock Sagat and all three of the remaining characters upon their release, including the aforementioned C.Viper and Alex, as well as Ingrid. The passes, which also include “new Outfit colors and Drive Tickets”, are available now via PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC. Switch 2 versions are coming up as well, and are up for pre-order now.
Street Fighter 6 heats up
No, we’re not done with SF6 news just yet, as the game’s getting… hotter. And by that, we mean Capcom is bringing in a full set of summertime costumes. Officially a new option called “Outfit 4”, these new suits will showcase seven of the World Warriors’ best beach looks.
Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly and A.K.I will all get in on the fun, when Outfit 4 lands the same day as Sagat. If you didn’t read though the press release info above, that’d be tomorrow, August 5th.
Fighting Collection 2 gets a little bigger
Rounding things out is news about one of Capcom’s latest collected editions, Capcom Fighting Collection 2. The news came across during the Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 competition, with the publisher announcing a pretty deep list of new additions to the game.
