Skate fans in Los Angeles next week might want to check out a special first look event for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4.
BAM
As most video game fans probably know by now, Activision has a revamp coming up for another pair of Tony Hawk classics. Those would be the third and fourth games in the now-classic Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, which will be bundled into Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. But while that title launches on the 11th of this month, there’s a way to play it ahead of time. Well, there is if you’re in the LA area anyway.

Activision will be transforming Complex LA into a “Y2K-inspired haven complete with retro posters, iconic wall art, cozy bean bags, and multiple gaming stations” to celebrate Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4‘s upcoming launch. As you can imagine, that means attendees will be able to play the game early, but they’ll also have a chance to meet up with a skate (and skate-gaming) legend with Bam Margera.
The iconic pro will be on hand for gaming competitions where players will vie for high-scores and “collectors edition prizes”, according to the press release. That’s not all though, as there will also be custom fingerboard giveaways, plus a fingerboard skate park that’ll be molded after one of the levels in the new game. That’s just neat.
If you’ll be looking to attend the event and get some early hands on time with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, you’ll need an RSVP to secure entry, which you can sign up for here. Complex LA’s doors will open on Tuesday, July 8th, with the event running from 11am through 7pm (pacific time).
