Another look at Warhammer 40K: Spacer Marine II arrives, fresh from Summer Game Fest

Kind of a teaser for the yet-dropped “overview” trailer, we’ve got a fresh look at the action of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II.

For Ultramar!

Straight from the Summer Games Fest show, comes a new look at Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. The highly-anticipated sequel brings back the Ultramarine Titus, and sets him against a swarm of deadly Tyranids. At least, that’s in the single-player campaign. Space Marine II will also serve up two multiplayer modes, with a three player co-op option, and a versus mode that will pit Space Marines against Chaos Marines.

Every look at the title has looked better and better, and that’s no different in this new look, though it is a tad short. According to Focus Entertainment, that’s because this peek is a tease, for the as-yet-dropped Gameplay Overview Trailer.

That’ll be stocked with “a deep dive into the game’s mechanics”, and will arrive on June 20th. But till then, at least there’s this glimpse for fans to check out.

Fight as one of the Emperor’s greatest warriors and defend the Imperium against the horrors of the galaxy. Drive back the everlasting night in epic battles on far-flung planets with your deadly abilities and devastating weaponry. Powered by Saber Interactive’s proprietary Swarm Engine, Space Marine 2 will throw players into the deep end of the universe’s most spectacular battles, pitting them against the relentless Tyranid swarms!

Focus Entertainment press release

A total of four editions will be landing for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II, with the standard, Gold, Ultra, and Focus Store-exclusive Collector’s. All of the above will be out and ready for action on September 9th, when the game arrives for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
