It’s a Critical Countdown Event for Call of Duty, as Season 4 debuts next week

Season 4 is coming to Call of Duty’s current block of games, and set to deliver something ominous, called the Critical Countdown.

It’s the Critic-al Countdown (doo-doo-DOO-doo)

Much like with past Call of Duty seasonal updates, Season 4 is going to be loaded. Fans of Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile will find plenty to dig into, including new maps, a zombies update, vehicles, and the addition of some Gundam action. But there’s some special emphasis on Warzone this time around as well, with the Critical Countdown Event.

The Critical Countdown Event will be bringing a “DNA bomb” to Popov Power in Urzikstan, and it’ll be up to players to stop it by way of DNA samples, which will tie into the device. Again though, there’s quite a bit more to like about this new Season than just Warzone’s offerings.

As mentioned above, maps featuring the nightlife of Tokyo and streets of Paris are coming up for Modern Warfare III, and there are those Gundam skins on the way as well.

Get ready to experience the Tokyo neon nightlife, or head to the City of Lights with a Paris rendezvous at the start of Season 4, with more Multiplayer maps joining the fray later in-season. Across Warzone, a mysterious DNA bomb has been found at Popov Power in Urzikstan, where players will be tasked with obtaining DNA samples in an ominous Critical Countdown Event. Warzone Mobile players can also expect a host of new Maps, Events and Modes, including a fan-favorite map, Killstreak Roulette Mode, and so much more. Rounding out the new season, Zombies brings another intense hoard of the undead within the Unstable Rift. Plus, new Store offerings await players, including new Mobile Suit Gundam and The Boys Bundles.
