Travelers heading to JFK airport’s JetBlue terminal might want to pop-in to Nintendo’s new “Switch On the Go” popup.
Mario flies the friendly skies
Not that flying is anything new for Nintendo’s numero uno mascot Super Mario, but you get our drift as the Mushroom Kingdom’s hero has arrived in New York’s JFK airport. The plumber from Brooklyn ushered in the arrival of Nintendo’s newest popup activation at JetBlue Terminal 5, which should serve up some fun for travelers.
Now, notice that we didn’t say anything about ‘buying games’ or even Switch consoles in the paragraph above. We initially thought that this was going to be a shop, but it actually seems to decidedly not be that in… pretty much any way.
Instead, Nintendo highlights the “Nintendo Switch On the Go” activation as offering opportunities for visitors to just kinda chill out. Fans can play some new Switch titles, charge their devices, and otherwise hang out at the booth.
Oh, and that mascot-Mario that you see above isn’t just for the promo pics either. While there’s no word on a schedule, it does appear as though fans will be able to both meet and snap a souvenir picture with him, and against a suitable backdrop as well.
If you’re going to be heading to the bustling travel hub, and are hitting JetBlue Terminal 5, you’ll be able to check out the above from now through April 20th, 2024.
