The master of capoeira returns, as Eddy Gordo arrives for Tekken 8

A perennial favorite for new players to the series and capoeira specialist, Eddy Gordo is back in Tekken as of today.

Dance-fightin’

Yes, he’s back, and leading the way for the Tekken 8 DLC train. As we mentioned above too, Eddy Gordo’s arrival is some good news. The classic fighter has been a favorite of both new and experienced players since he debuted in Tekken 3, and he’s looking every bit as flashy and high-impact as ever in Tekken 8.

Eddy Gordo, known as the “Indomitable Flash,” continues his journey of redemption in TEKKEN 8. As a skilled capoeira user, Eddy puts himself on a grueling training regimen and hones his moves to new levels of proficiency to exact his revenge against Kazuya Mishima.

Eddy Gordo’s debut expands the game’s 32-character launch roster, which includes many fan-favourites, the surprise return of Jun Kazama, and three all-new additions with Azucena, Victor Chevalier and Reina. Eddy is the first character of the TEKKEN 8 Season Pass that will include 3 other characters to be revealed later.

Bandai Namco press release

The capoeira combatant is available as of today (April 5th, 2024) to add onto your base copy of Tekken 8 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. That’s if you’re going the a’la carte route, but he’s also included with the Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Edition of the game, and is a part of the Deluxe Edition Upgrade Pack as well.

So if you have one of those, then you don’t have to grab Eddy separately, and should be able to hit that download asap.
