Team17 and developer The Game Kitchen are going back to the Xbox One and PS4 for a little more Blasphemous 2 action.
Blasphemer!
We were actually a little confused by this press release, since Blasphemous 2 is out already for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. But we should have looked a little closer, as those weren’t the consoles that Team17 was talking about.
As it turns out, the publisher is bringing The Game Kitchen’s tough and gory action sequel to last-gen consoles, and it’s set to arrive next week. The new edition will be seemingly the same as the current generation’s editions, and include non-linear play, across a gothic and dark-fantasy world.
Players can expect plenty of combos and finishing moves, plus the ability to customize the Penitent One to your own liking, by way of skills and weaponry. And of course, it should go without saying that you’ll need all the help you can get, as Blasphemous II is no cakewalk.
Following a newly reawakened Penitent One, Blasphemous 2 thrusts players back into an endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection as they face monstrous enemies and inconceivable challenges to halt the prophetic birth of a new Child of the Miracle. Featuring three unique weapons to acquire and master, and an enhanced skillset to choose from, players will have to use these new tools to survive and explore a land hell bent on sending them back to the grave as they collect scattered pieces of lore, unpick long forgotten secrets, and avoid deaths final embrace.
Team7 press release
Blasphemous 2 is coming up fast, and looks to hit the PS4 and Xbox One on November 2nd. As mentioned above too, the game is out right now for the PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
