It’s all-WarGames, all the time in the latest WWE 2K23 Ringside Report

At this point it certainly seems as though the WarGames match is the biggest new addition to WWE 2K23. Get a look at it in detail in the Ringside Report.

WARGAMES

A big part of the game’s reveal, WarGames does indeed make its video game debut with WWE 2K23. And for fans of the event-match, it looks as authentic as you might’ve hoped.

There’s apparently a good reason for that too, as 2K says that it was a desired addition for a while, and was actually set up via last year’s 2K22. According to the publisher, that game made some “under-the-hood changes” that facilitated WarGames for 2023’s edition.

Classically a WCW match, WarGames is going to be one of the more unique parts of 2K23. Players can take to the double-caged-ring setup with teams of 3 or 4, with a ruleset that’s as different from the staple WWE product as classic Survivor Series matches and the Royal Rumble.

If you’d like to go in-depth, and see how 2K and developer Visual Concepts crafted this attraction, check out the official blog. Officially titled the Ringside Report, the latest in the set of ongoing looks at the game’s development explores all things WarGames.

You can check that out here, but don’t forget that WWE 2K23 itself is coming up fast as well. The game will be hitting consoles and the PC on March 17th, 2023.
