A world unto itself, Assassin’s Creed expanded in a big way with Valhalla, and Dark Horse Books is about to explore the secrets of its vikings.
Valhalla beckons
It might be hard to believe, but Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was originally released back in 2020. And for an almost two year old game, it’s still pretty darn relevant. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that it’s been supported like crazy by Ubisoft, with loads of new content right up through this year. But then there’s also the fact that it’s the first AC title to go north.
Vikings were and still are a popular theme all by themselves after all, and Valhalla certainly went all in on them. If you’ve been captivated by the game’s portrayal of the warrior culture, then you might really dig what Dark Horse Books has put together with The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North—Logs and Files of a Hidden One.
This isn’t an art book, but instead will instead delve into the game’s fiction. The hardcover tome will be told from the point of view of Hytham, as though you’re reading his journal.
Discover the history and culture of the Raven Clan Vikings as they struggle against the Order of the Ancients. Get an in-depth view of the setting of the game with descriptions and depictions of in-game characters and locals as the Vikings move from Norway to England, Ireland, and Francia. What best-kept secrets will you uncover at Hytham’s side?
