Trailer: Content from the 2013 film arrives for multiplayer horror title Evil Dead: The Game

Did you think that Evil Dead: The Game was just gonna leave the 2013 movie alone? Nah. There’s a whole new terror available to play right now.

Still with the trees though…

Inspired by the iconic horror, humor and action of the Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead: The Game brings the series’ biggest names together in a pulse-pounding battle with the forces of darkness. Work as a team of four Survivors to kick Deadite butt and banish the vile Kandarian Demon – or become the Demon yourself, using its powers of possession to stop the good guys dead and swallow their souls! Choose your squad with fan-favorite characters from every era in the series, and battle with a wide variety of weapons to survive the night in multiplayer and bonus single-player missions.

Saber Interactive press release

In all, the new Evil Dead 2013 update adds in a good bit of fresh content. Players will find two new heroes, with Mia and her brother David, complete with new special abilities, and a new solo mission. You can get a hint of all of the above in the trailer.

Though you’ll need the base game to play, you can grab this pack one of two ways. It’s of course included with Season Pass 1, so if you have that you’re good to go, but it’s also available separately for $9.99 USD.

It should be up right now for all versions of Evil Dead: The Game.
