Nintendo Download: The SPLAT is Back!

It’s Splatoon 3 week on the Nintendo Download! And since that means the release of a major first party Nintendo game, there isn’t much else.

Splat goes the Download

Hope you dig paint and multiplayer arena-shooters, because Nintendo has a heaping helping of that on tap for this week’s Download. Of course, the game in question is none other than Splatoon 3.

A sequel that’s been anticipated for about a year, Splatoon 3 puts players back in the tentacles of an ink-blasting squid. the goal is a simple one, blast your opponent in multiplayer online battles, and rule the arena by covering it with your own colors. Yeah there’s more to Splatoon than that, and part 3 does add in some more stuff too, but that’s the basic gist of it.

And again, there ain’t much else. Tower Princess is a 3D medieval action title, that has an animated look to it. Kind of neat. And rounding out the headliners is Haiku, which is a side-scrolling, GameBoy-ish 8bit adventure. Also, kind of neat.

  • Tower Princess – Once upon a time in a faraway land, an Evil Dragon took every royal heir he could meet prisoner. Lots of worthy suitors of every kingdom tried to face the beast without success. Now it’s your turn. Do your best to beat the dungeon, defeat the dragon and manage the most perfect date!
  • Haiku, the Robot – Delve into the depths of a mechanical world in this cute adventure-exploration game. Explore and fight in a land full of corrupt robots and machinery. Dodge, dash and slash as you battle fierce-looking machines. Challenge your skills and reflexes through tight melee combat and epic boss fights, all while seeking answers to the mysteries around you. Haiku, the Robot will be available on Sept. 9 in Nintendo eShop.
