The web-head and Marvel’s mutants are about to crossover with a winter event titled “Dark Web”, and November’s Venom #13 will set the stage.
The Goblin Queen cometh
While AXE might be all the rage now in Marvel’s comics universe, it’s going to get a little creepier this fall with the arrival of Dark Web. And no, this has nothing to do with sketchy websites. Dark Web is more about… well it’s not exactly clear what it’s about.
We do know that Venom, Spider-Man, and the X-Men are all involved, that and Madelyn Pryor looks like the villain. Oh, and we know the synopsis for the lead-in issue is too.
That’d be Venom #13, a book that will see the space-faring Eddie Brock return to Earth a shattered man.
Al Ewing, Ram V., and Bryan Hitch’s epic VENOM run has told the intertwined journeys of father and son, Eddie Brock and Dylan Brock. Forced to watch his son die from across the timestream, Eddie Brock returns from space but finds himself surrounded by enemies. Alone, and with no one to trust, he finds an unexpected ally in Madelyne Pryor, as the stage is set for the most epic crossover of the year!
Marvel Comics press release
While the X-Men are included in the story, this does look to be a mainly Spider-Man/Venom tale. Marvel says that Dark Web will spill out across those character’s individual books, starting with November’s Venom #13, which leads into December’s Dark Web Alpha #1.
