Toy Fair ’25: NECA rocks with tons of Turtles, including the new TMNT 2012 line

NECA once again put on a great show at last week’s Toy Fair in NY. The company didn’t disappoint, especially for TMNT fans.

Cowabunga!

Just to get it out of the way at the top, NECA is absolutely rolling with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yeah, we know that’s not exactly breaking news, but it’s worth saying, since the company is really getting deep with the license, spreading out a shocking amount of new Turtles offerings, as they’ve appeared in multiple eras and forms of media. If you’re a big fan, and we are, then it’s tough not to be excited for… well, all of it.

The TMNT were the biggest stars in NECA’s booth at this past Toy Fair by a healthy margin, and what was on display included some of what you’ve seen before, but much more too. Like the Archies? Well, NECA had the most recent stuff out for perusal. Prefer the original Mirage designs? Yeah, no sweat there, as we got to see plenty of stuff from the original books and the Last Ronin era. Not only that, but the toon series continued as well, and we got a look at the brand new and upcoming 2012 line.

Want more? Sure, why not! NECA is expanding the “Monsters” line as well, with both new TMNT-takes on classic movie monsters and some wholly original creations. If you dig Turtles and horror, it continues to be a terrific line.

Finally, the movie line was in attendance too. No, it’s not done just yet, and actually seems to be getting just that much more interesting. Not only does the series now include direct adaptations from the Turtles films, but much like the Monsters series, it also has some original stuff. How’s that? Well, have you ever wondered what Rocksteady and Bebop might’ve looked like if they made an appearance in the classic film series? NECA did.

If you like Turtles and action figures, NECA’s booth was a good as it gets.
