Valiant Comics’ original super-duo Archer & Armstrong are coming back for a fresh series from the publisher, complete with some serious stakes.
Immortal no more
If you followed Valiant Comics, either in its legacy form or modern, then you know the story of Armstrong and his brothers. Together with The Eternal Warrior and Ivar (the Timewalker), the man who would become Armstrong is an immortal.
From days before time, Aram Anni-Padda was gifted with the ability to heal from anything, and live essentially forever. In the modern Valiant U, he’s taken the name Armstrong, and is partnered with Obadiah Archer as a pair of superheroes. But all of that might be coming to an end.
In the pair’s new series, Archer & Armstrong Forever, we find that something’s happened to Aram. He’s not healing like he did, and the ride might be coming to a mysterious end. Of course, Archer isn’t just going to sit there and let his friend die, and that’s where the adventure kicks off.
ARCHER & ARMSTRONG FOREVER #1 marks the eagerly anticipated return of Valiant Entertainment’s fan-favorite and adventurous duo. When the carefree, hard-drinking, and immortal Aram Anni-Padda, a.k.a. Armstrong, seemingly loses his ability to heal from any wound and believes his days as an immortal are finally coming to an end, his young and optimistic best friend Obadiah Archer will travel the world in search of mythical artifacts to save his dear friend.

A buddy-comedy in the Valiant style, Archer & Armstrong Forever #1 will hit shelves in May. Steve Foxe will be penning this new tale, with Marcio Fiorito attached as the artist.
A&A’s newest is the latest book to be announced in the Year of Valiant promotion. Shadowman, Harbinger (complete with a soon-arriving Faith), and a new book called Armorclads are all included. The latter there will be debuting in March.
