WB’s The Batman: The Complete Collection gets nudged to March

Originally set to hit stores in February 2022, The Batman: The Complete Collection is being moved just a tad, to March 2022.

The Batman moves

It wasn’t all that long ago that we brought you news about Warner Bros’ The Batman. No, not the anticipated movie landing in theaters next year, this ‘The Batman’ news was about the cartoon show.

If you remember, the show was a somewhat fresh take on the Dark Knight, featuring a younger Bat as he made his name in Gotham. It has become a fan-favorite as well, though hadn’t been updated to Blu Ray. That’s being seen to though, as it’ll be making the jump early next year. This new collection will bring together all of the original The Batman episodes, plus some extras for fans to dig into.

This is the first time the fully-remastered, 65-episode series has been distributed on Blu-ray. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the six-time Emmyâ Award-winning series follows 20-something-year-old Bruce Wayne’s early adventures as he balances his daytime persona as a bachelor billionaire with his nighttime guise as a caped crimefighter. Along the way, Batman is joined by allies Robin and Batgirl as they combat Gotham City’s Rogues’ Gallery, including updated versions of his familiar foes as well as a bevy of rarely seen villains like Killer Moth and The Everywhere Man. Join one of the most complex and intriguing character in comic book history for action-packed super heroic adventures that test the limits of this legendary character’s extraordinary physical prowess and super-sleuthing skills.

Warner Bros

Originally set for a February launch though, the set will instead be moved to March 1st. No, that’s not much of a shift, but Warner Bros says that it’ll “enhance the visibility of the box set in retail outlets”.

Depending on where you live, you can be on the lookout for either a Blu Ray + Digital edition set (US), or Blu Ray only box (Canada).
