Deadeus launches this March for the… GameBoy?

That’s correct, the Nintendo GameBoy is the place for indie horror title Deadeus. The game turns back the clock starting this March.

Retro

How’s this for a nice little surprise? Yes, apparently the GameBoy isn’t done quite yet, with a retro title looking to take advantage of the iconic handheld. Oh, and I mean the original GameBoy by the way, not the Color or the Advance. Get ready for some pea-green terror.

Those frights will come in the form of Deadeus, a game from Spacebot Interactive and developer -IZMA-.

Deadeus is a brand new top-down 8-bit horror adventure centered around a small boy who has a prophetic nightmare telling him everyone will die in 3 days and that he has to investigate his village to see how he can save them, if at all.

Deadeus contains 11 endings and no direct path leaving it up to the player to decide which is the best course of action.

Spacebot Interactive

Since Deadeus is a GameBoy game too, you can expect a full-on, physical release. The game will be launched on a cart, which will be compatible with all of the aforementioned hardware – the GameBoy, GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advance. Retail box? Manual? Yeah, Deadeus will have all the trimmings. It’s going to feel like 1989 all over again.

Deadeus is set to launch this March, but has a pre-order phase that’s open right now. You can lock up your copy for $57.44 USD (plus shipping) right now, here.
