Check out Cyberpunk 2077 running on PlayStation

Matching up with the previously released Xbox video, CD Projekt Red has unleashed a look at their upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 running on PS4/PS5.

State of Play(Station)

Just a short time ago, CD Projekt Red gave gamers a chance to see a semi-unfiltered stretch of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay. This came by way of a special Night City Wir presentation, outside of the usually numbered entries in that video series.

The catch was that the video centered exclusively on the Xbox version of the game. Players got to see the Xbox One handle the title, as well as the Xbox Series X|S.

Late last week though, the company released a second look at the game, this time on PlayStation hardware. As with the Xbox version, the PlayStation edition will be officially a current/last-gen release, but will be fully playable on PS5 hardware. Also like the Xbox, the PS4 Cyberpunk will get a next generation boost in 2021, free of charge.

Taking place in the “Nomad lifepath”, the new short shows V heading into the badlands. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a Mad Max-like area that surrounds the massive and sprawling, ultra-high-tech Night City.

So even if you’re planning on picking up the game on the Xbox or the PC, you’re going to want to check this out anyway, just to check out the new areas.

Cyberpunk 2077 lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on December 10th.
