Marvel Comics gets up close and personal with ‘headshot’ variants

Harkening back to cover initiatives that longtime Marvelites might remember, are the newest variants from the company – a series of headshots.

Boom

You might remember, and if you’re a Marvel fan of any depth I’m sure you do, a certain line of covers from decades past. You know the ones, the issues that had spotlighted heroes on them, with a silver boarder lined with additional characters… Yeah, those.

Well, the newest variant series from Marvel Comics might not be quite as cool as those were, but it’s got some of the same flavor. The set will be hitting retail courtesy of artist Todd Nauck, and will feature all “up close” images of some of Marvel’s biggest stars.

A new series of covers starring Marvel’s best and brightest super heroes is coming to your local comic shop starting in November! Superstar artist Todd Nauck will bring iconic Marvel characters to life in upcoming Headshot variant covers. These classic-style portraits are a great way to introduce fans to popular characters as well as characters who will be making a splash in the days to come. This outstanding artwork will grace the cover of your favorite ongoing titles like Amazing Spider-ManSpider-Woman, and Eternals this November— and there’s plenty more on the way! Be on the lookout for more Headshot variant covers by Todd Nauck in the coming months but for now, check out the stunning depictions of Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Sersi that will be available soon!
