Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground to blaze onto consoles and PC in 2021

There’s not a ton to report right now about Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. That said, it’s tough not to get excited over the teaser.

Storming the Olde World

The latest game to be announced in the never-ending deluge of titles based on Games Workshop’s Warhammer, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is looking pretty great. Well, kind of.

There’s no gameplay in this trailer, though it certainly hits all of the right notes otherwise. From Focus Home and developer Gasket Games, Storm Ground will be the first game set in the post-reset Age of Sigmar.

And despite the somewhat action-y look of the video below, it will indeed be of the turn-based strategy genre.

Enter the universe of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, where immortal knights ride heavenly stardrakes to eradicate hellish legions across the realms. Lead your faction to war in spectacular, fast-paced, dynamic battles to conquer the mortal world.

Storm Grounds’s nonlinear campaign delivers unique challenges with each playthrough, and epic online duels let you prove your army’s renown against other players around the world. Victory will grant you new customizable units, gear and skills to herald your forces’ ascension to legend.

While there was no gameplay in the above (at least, I don’t think so), there is some in a selection of screenshots we have as well. These look pretty sharp too, with some nice looking effects.

Expect Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground to hit (presumably next-gen) consoles and the PC some time next year.
