Billy Tucci’s Shi wraps up crowd-funding tonight

Shi is back. Or she will be soon anyway, since creator Billy Tucci’s crowd-funding campaigns are wrapping tonight. So yes, there’s still time to buy in.

The original bad girl

While Tucci’s Shi might not be the first of the so-called ‘bad girls’ from the 90s, she’s unquestionably one of the most popular. She’s apparently an enduring fave too, since the dual crowd-funding efforts put forth 22 days ago have both been successes.

Fans have backed the return of Shi to the tune of over $105k. That’s an impressive figure to be sure. According to Tucci though, when the number gets over $110k the last stretch goal gets that all important unlock.

Plus a good deal of stretch goals have already been unlocked, and there are a whole bunch of tiers still open. So if you’re looking for bonuses, they’re there is my point. But even without all of that, the campaign will at the very least get you the return of Shi herself in Shi: Return of the Warrior.

Here’s the official description from the campaign:

Return of the Warrior is over a quarter century in the making we now find our heroine Ana Ishikawa 15 years removed from when she last graced the pages of a comic book. Ana now lives a peaceful, quiet exitance raising their teenage daughter Hotaru.

But that all changes when she’s made aware that Masahiro Arashi has escaped from a New York City Mental Institution. Her former antagonist, now suffering from dementia has regressed back to his younger murderous self and now Ana must take up the naginata once again to save her daughter!

The book is available right now on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter, just hit the links to back it. She’s return will run you $24.99 USD for the exclusive variant cover edition. If you want more, there’s also an “actual metal edition” for $125 (that sounds pretty awesome). And at a lower price point, there’s a $19.99 poster to be had.

How ever you plan to buy in, just make sure you doit before 11:59pm eastern time tonight (December 6th, 2019). Because once the clock strikes 12 the campaign will be history.
