Mortal Kombat 11 revealed

Here it is, in all its gory glory. NetherRealm’s newest Mortal Kombat title has characters new and old, a cool time-bending narrative, and buckets of blood.

MORTAL KOMBAT

The day has finally come and Warner Bros and series-running developer NetherRealm have fully taken the wraps off of Mortal Kombat 11. The result is nothing less than a stunning looking fighting game, loaded with pretty much everything that MK fans could want.

That includes a brand new story that bends time and picks up right where MKX left off.

Here’s the full prolog:

In those first looks you see a could of familiar faces, and some new ones too. But Mortal Combat 11’s roster is still largely occulted. That’ll change in time of course, as we see more and more of the game leading into release.

Today though, NetherRealm did give away one more fighter. And he’s impressive to say the least. Meet Geras.

It’s good to see that the game will have some fresh faces, though returning favorites are always welcome. And I’m sure series fans will agree that Sonya Blade is one of those.

You might’ve glimpsed her in the “Hype” trailer above, as she gave away the inclusion of Kitana, but did you recognize the voice? That’s none other than WWE wrestler and former ultimate fighter Ronda Rousey.

In this next video she talks about taking over the legendary Mortal Kombat role.

Fatality

Oh right, we can’t leave you with just that can we? Of course not, since NetherRealm also graced us with a “Fatality” trailer today. Watch it below, and then maybe think about pre-ordering the game for the Xbox One and PS4. If you do buy in early, you’ll nab yourself a playable Shao Kahn

Orders are being accepted now, for both the standard and Kollector’s Edition. The game hits retail on March 28th.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
