DC Comics now a part of comiXology Unlimited

Miss out on DC Comics action no longer comiXology Unlimited subscribers. The publisher has just announced an alliance with the eComics distributor.

Extra DC

It’s not much of a conversation when you’re talking about the biggest digital distribution platform for comics. Sure, there are a couple, but the biggest is most definitely Amazon’s comiXology. Both single issues and graphic novels are buyable via the online shop/reader.

While you can buy all of that individually, their Unlimited deal is particularly attractive. All you can read is a little tough to resist honestly. And now, for the first time, DC Comics is a part of it.

“We are thrilled to now include an incredible selection of DC’s vast library of Super Heroes and DC Vertigo titles as part of comiXology Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited, and Prime Reading, bringing an even bigger benefit to all our subscription members” said comiXology CEO and Co-Founder David Steinberger. “With the addition of DC and DC Vertigo titles we’re providing more convenience and a great opportunity for readers to discover and explore some of the best stories comics have to offer at no additional cost to their current Prime, Kindle Unlimited or comiXology Unlimited subscription.”

“DC is constantly looking at ways of growing the audience for comics and graphic novels, so teaming up with comiXology Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading is a natural fit,” said John Cunningham, Senior Vice President of Sales & Trade Marketing. “From Aquaman to Sandman, there’s so much for DC readers, old and new, to love here.”

DC Comics press release

As you might imagine, not everything that DC publishes is a part of comiXology (and Kindle) Unlimited. Nevertheless, a good swath of content is. And that includes a bunch of stuff from different DC Universe eras and Vertigo.

You’ll be able to enjoy single issues and graphic novel collections too, so there are no format exclusions. The service won’t be raising its price with the addition either, and will still run you $5.99 USD per month.

Here’s what you can expect to read as a part of the deal:
